Our story
The family behind
Big Poppa Mo’s.
We’re Don and Shontelle Moore. We named our popcorn business after Don’s dad, Simon. Here’s how he inspired us.
Meet Big Poppa Mo
Don’s dad, Simon Moore
Meet Big Poppa Mo.
To Don, he was Dad. To family and friends, he was Big Poppa Mo.
Simon was a husband, father, grandfather and veteran. He loved his family, his community and his country. And if you knew him, you knew how much he loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He taught us to do a job right, treat people well and live life to the fullest. We named the business after him to keep those lessons with us. That’s his picture on our logo, too.

A note from our family
Why we chose popcorn.
Popcorn has always been part of our good times: movie nights, ballgames, days at the fair and time with family and friends.
So when we decided to start a family business, popcorn felt right. We wanted to offer something people would enjoy eating and sharing.
Our popcorn is handcrafted in small batches in the USA and made fresh to order. We want every bag to taste great, whether you’re keeping it for yourself or sending it as a gift.
Thanks for giving our popcorn a try. May God bless you, and Go Big!
